Tell us more about yourself.
I like to go out for dinners, I like to make dinners, and I love nature. When I found this apartment, I know that there were big trees all around and it's a nice neighborhood, so those kind of tranquil things I really enjoy. I do work from home, which is a little bit different for all of us, I'm sure. So it's how to make your place more comfortable. And so that's one of my interests as well. How can I make my home better and enjoyable?
Tell us about your first time meeting Clemence.
She came in on a cold night. She had a huge amount of bags and it was like, well, but we used to get a kick out of that over the six months as she stayed, because she'd be coming out all the time with new outfits and it's like, where did you put all of that stuff in that room? So we had a really good time. She was very pleasant and she was home. She worked there every day. We would have dinners once in a while. Once in a while we would go out, so to have a drink. And I feel like we have a friendship that we will get together again in the future. And she'll visit Toronto and I'll visit her home.
How was your experience with Sparrow?
The staff was always there. You're given a person that you are working with to go through this process, and that person is with you the whole time. So if you ever have any questions about the app, they're there. They speak with you about those who are submitting text to you. So it's incredibly easy.
What do you think are the benefits of homesharing?
So we know that the market is horrible for people who are trying to rent. It's very difficult, and the prices are going up and up.
"To be able to open your door to someone who needs a place, why not? Especially for the younger generation. It's not really fair for them what they have to go through. So to be able to offer that, give them a break on their budget, provide them a safe place and just be there for them, it's a great experience."
